John and Tyler had their tonsils and adenoids out last week. The surgery went well, recovery was tough. If it was one child I don't think it would have been an issue but two whinny children was a bit tough but we made it. On the positive starlight starbright foundation provided all the kids with a bag of goodies, books, a stuff animals, tolietries etc.
If any of you have little ones who need their tonsils out here's a word of advice. Bring cold apple sauce and sherbert. Seeing my kids eat popsicles, jello and freezes for 24hrs started to drive me nuts. I know the cold is good for them but I couldn't let them eat junk for the week. I fed them lots of fish, tofu and rice, noodles, soup, smoothies and yoghurt and eggs.
Tyler now goes to another room to do #2. So he's ready to potty train. I'm going to take the diapers off when I get home. I'm taking the last week of July off to finish off the potty training. I'll let you know how it goes.
That's it for potty training. I'll keep you posted next week on progress
I'm sure that was rough and you must be so glad it is over with.
Good luck with PT! We are miles away from it. I keep trying Reagan but she just isn't ready. Nathan gets free diapers through insurance when he turns 3 (because of his diagnosis) and I am pretty sure we will be using them. I can't wait to have one of my 3 out of diapers.
