My girls are 10 months now, and one is constantly grabbing toys from the other. The grabee (Leigh) is at the point where she cries inconsolably, even if the toy is returned to her, and she's even started swatting at the grabber (Lucy).

I can see this getting much worse before it gets better. I try to prevent the grabbing through distraction, but usually it happens quickly before I can intervene. And, I don't know how to react to the swatting - I usually just pull Leigh away, give the toy back, and offer a new toy to Lucy.

Any tips for a first-time mom of twins? Thanks in advance!

Oh yes, I remember those days. (Or, I mean, this happens every day still, LOL)

There ISN'T much you can do. We just kept them separate, as much as it stinks. They both played with their own toys on their own blankets.

Your girls are beautiful!! I was joking with DH today, telling him that the boys are wrestling, honestly, that's what it looks like. They steal each others bottles, paci's, & toys and then they crawl all over each other. One usually ends up with his hands on the others face.

Mine do the same. I'm trying the naught spot now, since they're 21/2 I heard it helps. What I used to do is that if there's one toy and they're fighting over it I would say at the top of my lungs in 10 seconds it's Tyler's turn then count as loud as I could for 10seconds then remove the child. It worked for a little while, and there wasn't as much tear.

Good luck!
