Do you sing it twice or just once with both names??

If you sing it twice how do you choose who to sing to first??

If you sing it once with both names do you tell people ahead of time which name is inserted first or is it a mumble of names because people sing in different order?

Help.

Also if you are a twin, how was it down through your childhood... would you have done it differently??

You know, I think we just automatically say Cameron first. Not sure why. At the restaurant where they had their first birthday, the waitress just sang Boys instead of their names. At home, I think we will just switch it up. The person who holds the cake should announce who will be named first or if we decide to sing the song twice, then the person holding the cake should announce who'll be sung to first.

Same boat but I think Hurricane comes first. I dont know why. If they are anything like our older two we will sing both names, one forst then the other and have to resing it with the second childs name first because a war broke out over who's name got said first....kids!

Hmm, we sang both names at one song, and we always say Spencer and Samantha.

I think we will do both names with one song.My two older boys are 3 years and four days apart so we always had their birthday parties together and we would sing one song and add both names.

Good question! So, If there's only 1 cake does the first one wait until the second one's song is sung then both blow the candles together? Or would it be easier to do 2 smaller individual cakes and blow out the candles after their own song? I never would have thought about this before!! I like the idea of singing twice though!

We will sing it twice. Knowing how much my 5 year old loves hearing her name in the birthday song, I'm sure each of them will love hearing their name separately when they are older as well.

For their first year we sang it once. And everyone said whatever name, lol. Next year I think we will sing twice and probably do birth order for now until they get older.

And this year we had cupcakes. We will probably always have their own smaller cake for each.
