DH is military when it comes to the schedule when I am not home - I still try and stick with it but not as rigid - how are you?

We have a very loose schedule. I try to do the same things in the same order around the same time. However, when it's the weekend or the the girls or out of school, it is impossible to stick to the schedule.

I voted have a schedule but allow for adjustments. Now, when we are in the middle of changing to a new schedule, I get strict. But once we are into it, I can be flexible, as long as whatever it is doesn't mess up the times too much. Like today, I was out shopping. We got home late, at about noon. The girls usually eat lunch at 11 and nap at noon, but we pushed everything back.

I usually will not budge on bedtime though.

I voted allowing for adjustments. THere are some things that I am very strict on, mainly bedtime. THe girls sleep through the night at this point and I'd like to try to keep it that way. Mornings I tend to be alot more flex and kind of go with what the girls want

I used to keep a very strict schedule when they were much younger. I needed that for my sanity. But, as they got older, their needs changed a tiny bit and the schedule got a little more flexible. Now they keep to the schedule I had set and things have just been very smooth for us. This does not include bedtime. the go to bed between 9pm and 9:30pm. I'll admit sometimes I've messed up and they've gone to bed a little later, but no later than 9:45pm. they sleep through the night with a rare wake up. they usually just need a little cuddle and they go right back to sleep. But like I said, it's rare these days.

I am very strict w/ the schedule but then I am alone taking care of the munchkins all day. Now, we do have a 15-30 min leeway when we are out so although I voted strict to the minute, I do let up on the schedule from time to time. Bedtime is 7 or bust. I need adult time!

I voted for strict but allow adjustments. We NEED to have a schedule, especially in the beginning.
