I get bored pumping so this is what I do in my 'spare time'

Fun Fact:
From a scientific point of view, the children of identical twins are the genetic equivalent of half-siblings rather than cousins. So, if identical twins marry another set of identical twins, then the resulting children would be the genetic equivalent of full siblings!

Fun Fact: There are basically five common variations of twinning. The most common type of twinning is fraternal, male-female twins. This particular combination makes up approximately 40 percent of all twins born, followed by fraternal girls, then fraternal boys. After that, there's identical girls, then identical boys. The latter being the least common type of twinning.

Identical Twin Males that are African American are even more uncommon.

Amazing that where ever the statistics come from that they know these things.

Regarding the first fact...I used to think about that sometimes because my mom is an identical twin. So I always knew that I shared 50% of my genetic make-up with my two cousins instead of the normal 25% that normal cousins share. (my DH is an identical twin as well, so the girls share 50% of their genetic make-up with their two older cousins)

And I knew fraternals were more common than identicals, but I didn't know the order in which they were likely to occur (boy/girl, then girls, then boys, etc). Thanks for the fun info!

ETA: Way to go on still pumping! I dried up out of the clear blue sky at 5 1/2 months and it made me so incredibly sad (still does sometimes). So great job!!
