I am having twins EDD 2/25/10. I only have one issue that I am running into. We live in a 3BR house and we already have a five year old little boy. I was wondering if anyone recommends one or two cribs or any other idea on the twins sharing a room. We was told there is a 90% chance of girls (will get have another u/s on 9/18/09). My husband and I was thinking of letting the twins share a crib for the first three mths then seperating them into sperate cribs but keeping them in the same room until they got older.....any thoughts?????

We have ours in one crib right now our room at night and in a twin pack n play during the day. We have a second crib set up in the nursery and will eventually move both cribs there. This is working for us right now because we want them eating at or around the same time, so it wouldn't matter if they woke each other up. We've been lucky so far and they don't wake each other.

We kept the girls in one crib for the first 4 1/4 monthes but once they started to roll on top of one and other and waking themselves up we put them into thier own cribs in the same room.

Ours are in the same crib. They're 3.5 months old. I'm hoping they can stay in the same crib for a couple more months since we'll be staying with my parents until we buy a house.

Our girls shared a pack n play for the first 3 months. After that, we transitioned them into separate cribs in the same bedroom.

The boys slept together in a pack n play for the first couple of weeks in our room, then we moved them to their room but kept them together in the crib - only a month or so ago did we move them to separate cribs but in the same room. I plan on them sharing a room for a long time - we are going to get bunkbeds eventually for them just to save space.

Our twins started out sharing a crib but now because of reflux issues my son sleeps longer if I put him in the swing at night.

Our twins shared a pack and play in our bedroom for about 3 weeks and then they were in their own cribs. My own personal comfort level with them sharing a crib is not very high, LOL.

You really won't know what your babies need until they get here I was planning on keeping mine together for as long as possible and at 4 months they started rolling over. That made me paranoid! So I separated them. We had prepared though, so I did have 2 cribs. I also had a co-sleeper that they both slept in next to me for the first 4 months. We also have a pack n play and I put it in the livingroom. Helped SO much! And I still use all of them!

For daytime, we have a pack n play in the living room. For nighttime, they share a cradle in our room. We'll eventually move them into one crib in the nursery, and then two when one isn't working anymore. We bought two matching cribs, so we're all set.
