Hi My name is Crystal (29) my husband is Gabe (32) we have two children. Gracie is 6, going on 15, lol and Jake is 10 months.

Monday was a veeerry interesting day for us!!!! We went in for our anatomy scan (I am 22 weeks along) and I was joking with the tech that I wanted baby to keep his/her legs crossed because I don't want to know the gender, and my husband was laughing and saying, but I won! If baby is showing off the goods, we're going to know! Soooo, she puts the u/s wand on my abdomen and says, there is the placenta, and moved it over a bit aaand.. .there's ANOTHER placenta. I said "is that?" and she said. "ok I'm not confused anymore, there's more than one baby in here".

:eep: <<<<<< me lol. I was SO SHOCKED. I had NO IDEA I was carrying twins! Gabe turned a very interesting gray shade and had to sit down lol. Then he started making snarky remarks about a vasectomy with a plastic butter knife I think he was a bit shocked lol. Anyway. . .

We are expecting twin girls. My due date is April 26th 2011 but I don't have a clue if I'll be able to carry these girlies that long or not. I hope so, but who knows. I am still in shock but starting to get over the shock moving on to stressed and EXCITED! I can't believe we will have 3 children under 2 lol. Jacob will only be 14-15 mos old when these girls arrive.

I just wanted to introduce myself I have no idea what I'm doing and am looking forward to getting to know other mamas of twins and more

wow! congratulations and welcome!

shocked would be the word I'd use, too

Just for fun, our twins are adopted, but they were undiagnosed until their prem delivery at 28 weeks and one of them was breech. Guess their tech wasn't as observant as yours'

Wow! Congrats! I found out at 8 weeks about our twins. But my MIL didn't know she was having twins until AFTER my DH came out!! 6 minutes later, his identical twin brother arrived. She was wondering why she was so huge!! Haha. They were 6.9 and 6.11.

Hope to get to know you more! You're going to have quite the story to tell your girls!

Congratulations!! We found out at 15 weeks because our doctor picked up what she thought were two heartbeats at a routine appt. She sent us straight to U/S and yup, there were two! Very shocking!!
