well the girls had an appt yesterday to see if would get they qualified for pt. The helmet people said that if would could get the qualified for it it would help in getting the insurance to pay for the helmets. Well we didn't qualify because the girls are a month or two ahead in everything! They test them for speech, cognitive, motor, emotional, and something else. I was so happy. I always worry that I am not doing enough with them. SO I guess we are going to have pay for the helmets tho. They haven't told me a price yet.

That's great you had a great appt, but I don't understand why being ahead in everything has anything to do with the shape of their heads. Doesn't make sense to me. The boys helmets were $2500 each and I had no problem getting them covered with Blue Cross and there was never an exam as to their physical or mental development. I hope you can get them covered.

We got ours from Hanger at the Children's Hospital in town here. They were $1500 each. That includes all your appointments and everything. We didn't have to pay anything else when E needed a second helmet or when we were at the office weekly for fitting issues.
