How many flip out moments of "I can't do this!" did you have so far? I just had a major one and was in the bathroom sobbing because no one ever seems to stop crying around here. I feel worthless because I never do anything productive in the house or exercise. I don't like taking them out for fear they will come unglued in public and I'll have to deal with that. Today is just a bad day I know, but I just feel like I have this feeling way too much. I usually don't lock myself in the bathroom sobbing, but I have the "What the hell did I do?" feeling so often and I get so sad thinking my kids are going to either A) think I didn't want them because I keep having this feeling or B)resent me for not wanting to do much with them for fear of the unglued state they get in.

Is this normal or should I see someone? I am trying to get a job and to be honest that makes me soooooo excited because I won't have them chasing me down all day and me trying to escape them. HOW TERRIBLE IS THAT? I literally feel like I run away from them all day because they scream and come to me.

Sounds like you're feeling a bit overwhelmed. Some people just aren't cut out to be around kids all day every day. Until last week, I was watching my 2 year old nephew and 4 year old niece a couple days a week. They are extremely challenging kids and I definitely had times where I was ready to be done. They kept me busy though

I think getting a job sounds great for your mental health.

I just take the kids out in public, even when I know they'll have a meltdown. I figure most people out in the middle of the day are either parents of kids or old and had kids at some point. Most people understand. We had a total meltdown in Target yesterday. They both escaped out of the cart and were running around. I had to gather them back up and they threw a huge fit. I just roll with it. They are finally getting to an age where I can start teaching them what behavior is okay or not by talking to them. That doesn't mean they listen

I used to feel like that all the time. My dh made me go the dr. Turns out I have anxiety and ADHD. It's a million times better now. Still tweaking my meds but I feel a lot better. I make myself take them out. They get tired of being in the house all the time and so do I. It's nice for the change of scenery.

I want to add that we rarely stay home all day. The few times we have is when I think I might lose my mind bu the end of the day. Getting out of the house may help you.

Big hugs!! I have had more than enough of those days. Sometimes its easier to put a movie on for your older one, put the twins in their crib with some toys and books and go have a shower than to try and bundle everyone up to go outside. I have the same feelings you do as well, especially about Danika. I don't want her to resent the twins b/c she didn't do all the swim, ballet classes etc. But I will say that since the boys have turned 2 is it MUCH easier!
I went back to work part time when the boys were 18mos or so, and its okay. I know I am definitely not meant to be a full time SAHM, its just not my thing and there is nothing wrong with that. So if finding a job works for you then fabulous!!
