U/S this morning shocked the heck out of me! I knew there were two but did not expect Baby B to make it (last week there was no yolk sac) but there it was! It has a heartbeat but the position of the baby was such that the tech could not get a reading. Did anyone else have this happen? I'm super nervous as it is and the fact that I don't know Baby B's heartrate is making me even more so. We did see the flicker at least so that is a bit reassuring.
I also have a SCH next to Baby B that we are hoping will resolve itself. It measures 1.3cm so it's small but any SCH is unnerving, IMO. Did anyone else have one of these and things turn out fine?
One-time "I'm NEVER having kids!" woman to mama of 11. Love living the beautiful life I thought I never wanted. ♥
Also missing 11 precious little ones here with us but for a moment.
VERY cautiously expecting after two losses early 2013. Hoping and praying my Valentine's Day due date baby sticks this time.
Hi and Welcome! I don't have any experience with an SCH and by the time I had my first u/s at over 8 weeks, they were clearly able to register both HB's, so I am no help there. I do know what a shock it is to find two though! I just wanted to say welcome, and hopefully one of the other ladies here will have some experience to relate for you

With my experience of early ultrasounds the Drs didn't want to say anything negative or positive until after 8 weeks. I hope everything turns out great for you! Wow 10 kids.. You have a beautiful family !
I will have 6 when the twins are born.
I'm not much help either. We only saw one baby at 6 weeks. We saw the second one at almost 9 weeks.
Thank you peimum for my siggie

Aug 13, '09 Arya and Eiley are born on what would have been their great grandmother's 105th birthday 365 Days in a Roe
We saw both sacs around 4 weeks, but baby B didn't have a hb so the dr mentioned that it may be reabsorbed. Well, a couple of days later, there was a flicker! Still couldn't hear the hb though. Our baby B pulled through and he turned out perfect
I also had a sch and it scared the heck out of me! I had real heavy bleeding around week 8 and I thought I was losing the babies! Went to the hospital and everything checked out fine which I had a hard time believing due to the amount of blood. I bled a little bit for a few more weeks and finally stopped around week 12 and everything was fine. So scary though!
Our ultrasound showed the 2 sacs, and both with yolk sacs, and then following week showed 2 sacs but only Baby A with a yolk sac. They thought maybe they read the scan wrong the first time... the week after that, another scan showed Both Baby A AND Baby B with yolk sacs AND heartbeats. It is still hard at 9 weeks to get a CLEAR view of Baby B. It was hidden. and just harder to see.
Also, I have an SCH by Baby B and Baby A -- horrible gushing bleeding and clots ... but alas, docs say it's fairly common in twin pregnancies and not to worry. I was told (not sure how accurate) that 50% of pregnancies with multiples get SCH of some degree, and about 1-3% miscarry. The rate is low. :-) Still unnerving though.
I was also told I could have bleeding on through up to 20 weeks until it all comes out or gets reabsorbed in to my body.
Call the doc anytime you have heavy bleeding though, regardless
