I have a doppler and found a heartbeat this morning. I couldn't tell if I found a second one or not. Are/were you ladies able to find both heartbeats either at home or at your doctor's office? I'm not worried as Baby B's heartbeat took some time to get a read on even at my u/s due to positioning. I just don't know if I'll be able to tell if I hear one or two as my pregnancy progresses.

My OB was never able to get a good reading of both heartbeats so he always used the portable u/s machine to check the babies out. Their heart rates were way too similar.

My doc never used a doppler until after 24wks or so, I figured if it was hard to him to tell the difference I would have a hard time as well (my boys were always within a few beats of each other) I did however have access to a portable u/s at work so I cheated and used it

The nurse was always able to find both heartbeats with the doppler. A was breech the entire pregnancy and B was either breech or transverse the entire time too.

My Dr. only used a dopler once that I could remember. I think it was around 12 or 14 weeks. We had just done an u/s and had some time to spare, so she basically did it for fun. We could only pick up one heart at the time. Even when I was bigger and did non stress tests, it was very hard to make sure we had a heart beat from both kids and not the same one twice as they seemed to be in synch with each other.

With my pregnancy they were never able to find both with the doppler either. Every appointment we did a mini ultrasound to check heartbeats.

Your still so early to be finding the heartbeat on the doppler...
I also think it has to do with placenta placement . If you have an anterior placenta it would be harder to find that heartbeat.

Thanks, ladies. I'm really hoping my OB can find both heartbeats because if I get an u/s they charge per baby. ouch $$ I'm still finding one heartbeat which makes me .

We were always able to find two heartbeats with our doppler, but we never tried until after 12 weeks.
