Hi! I just found out I am pregnant last week. Well I was getting severe cramps and backache. I went to the ER to rule out ectopic. They did an ultrasound that showed 2 gestational sacs. I was about 4 weeks 1 or 2 days. The tech told me that the one sac may just be a fluid sac. How likely is it that I'm having twins? TIA

I don't have a clue how likely it is, but I can say as early as you are it would certainly be possible to be having twins and them not see much in the sacs yet. I think at this point there is not much to do but wait and see. Hope everything goes well for you Don't drive yourself crazy with the waiting!

Thank you : ) They couldn't see anything in the sacs yet. It was too early. I have my first OB appointment tomorrow. I'm hoping they set up another ultrasound soon.

How many weeks are you now? Does you dr have an ultrasound machine in his office? If he does try asking him for a quick scan! If not see if there is a sonography school in your area. They do ultrasounds here (part of it 3d) for $15 here at the schools. Good luck!

Thank you : ) I'm only 5 weeks 1 day. My first OB appointment is tomorrow afternoon. I'm not sure if they have an u/s machine or not as I'm going to a new OB. I didn't care for the OB I had for my last 2 pregnanices. I know they wouldn't give me an u/s until I'm 20 weeks! That's how long they made me wait with last baby : ( I'm hoping this OB is different.

My 5W 6D ultrasound looked just like that! They weren't sure if baby B (the sac on the left) was going to make it or not because it was a couple of days behind baby A development-wise. But our little fighter made it!

Here is 6W 6D. What a difference!
