so we had our 15 week u/s today. Both babies are measuring the same and at 4oz which is awesome and the doctor made me feel so much better when he explained the cord placement to the placenta. they are on each side so he said it makes it a better chance that we wont have twin to twin..
oh and we got a peek at the goods.. we have identical GIRLS in there!!! We are beyond excited! so now we will be even. 2 boys and 2 girls! PERFECT! :-)
When I was pregnant with my son, my OB told me at 20 weeks I was having a girl. I didn't find out until I had to go to the hospital at 32 weeks that he was a boy. I trust ultrasound techs so much more than my OB with u/s's lol I told the tech today that and she said "we look at these things way too much to not know what we are looking at" haha so true.. I still told her that I will be making them check every 2 weeks to ease my nerves of it changing lol
Awww. ID girls are awesome That's great you also probably dont' have to worry about TTTS. My girls' cords inserted right next to each other. It's great to have one less thing to worry about.
Thank you peimum for my siggie
Dec 26 '08, BFP after 21 months thanks to acupuncture
Jan 14 '09, first u/s one strong heart beat
Jan 28, '09, second u/s, Surprise! two strong heart beats
Aug 13, '09 Arya and Eiley are born on what would have been their great grandmother's 105th birthday 365 Days in a Roe
Congrats on your identical girls! They are so fun! My girls cords were also implanted on opposite sides too and thankfully didn't get twin-to-twin. Celry is right, one less thing to worry about is always a good thing.
thanks! that's what I thought too about the cords.. Of course I'm still a little worried but it definitely made the stress of it go down quite a bit. I'm so excited about having girls! they are going to be so spoiled lol
SO's mom had 3 boys and has 2 grandsons so having girls in the family is what they've been waiting for! his mom works in the same building as my MFM guy so she came down for the u/s and she was SOOO EXCITED when the tech said "girls!" haha
