I had my "limited" anatomy scan today at my high risk dr's office. Everything looks wonderful with both of them! We were going to stay on team green, but the number of people asking what we're having, and trying to figure out room arrangements, etc really started getting to us so we decided to find out. Baby A is most definitely a boy. He flashed me at my emergency u/s at 13 weeks and it was obvious then. He is not shy at all. Baby B is a stubborn little booger with a cord that likes to get in the way. The tech had to have the doctor make the call, because she wasn't comfortable doing it. He says he's 95% sure B is a boy as well. Because they're the same gender and my placenta looks the way it does he says there is a 20% chance that they're identical. I hadn't even entertained that thought, because we had 3 follicles when we did our IUI. One turned into a huge cyst, and I just assumed that both eggs fertilized. When they were in separate sacs I was almost certain of it. I got back in 4 weeks for my Level II u/s, and if B is still a boy we'll be waiting until birth to see if they're identical or fraternal. I'm adding pics, but we didn't get the awesome tech today. The pics are pretty stinky.
the best we got of Baby A
the best we got got Baby B (sucking his thumb )
the only one we got of them together (heads and some random body parts)
Congrats, twin boys are a lot of fun!!! Your u/s sounds a lot like ours, we knew for sure it was one boy, mostly positive it was another boy and fairly sure they were frats but had to wait till birth to find out (our boys even have same blood type)
Jen, mom to Danika 6, and twins Owen & Rhys 3 (how did that happen!?!)
