Hello ladies,My name is Veronica and Im so happy to be here.. This week I found out Im having twins!!! But doctor told me one baby is smaller than the other one.. so Im kinda worried. He told me just to wait til my next u/s in about two weeks (Ill be 10 weeks). I asked my mom and she told me there is always one bigger than other.. Did you experience the same thing when you found out you were having two or not?? I just want to ease my mind a little bit.. and I cant wait for my next appointment.. TY so much!!!

Congrats! I'm glad you made it over here. I'm sure you'll get some more answers after the weekend. I know we've had multiple MoMs who have twinks measuring differently in the beginning. It is fairly common, but doesn't always happen. Mine were measuring the same. Good luck at your next u/s.

I never knew about my twins that early in my pregnancy. I didn't find out until I was 19 weeks along. Mine are identical, but they definitely did not measure the same. One was 6lbs 14oz at birth the other 7lbs 11oz.

CONGRATS on your twins!!!

Hello and welcome!

Mine measured differently also, the whole time and from the beginning (which for me was 15 weeks). They were 4lbs 10oz, and 6lbs 3oz at birth - and are now 14 months old and at least 5lbs different.

It does happen pretty frequently, and while it CAN indicate a problem, it doesn't HAVE to point to anything other than sibling differences.

Mine measured as much as a week apart, and were a little over a pound different when they were born.

Oh .. and congrats!

both of mine were always the exact same as each other, only measuring a few ounces off. They were like that when they were born to (5oz difference). I was told that was not rare for twins, but usually one was bigger. Now- my son is a heffer and my daughter is a small fry.

I am 24 weeks along with twins. At my last ultrasound, 19 weeks, they were measuring the same. They were actually measuring bigger then what they should by serveral oz.! My boys are in seperate sacs, I am sure that makes a difference!
