Reading responses in the other thread has reminded me of how worried and scared I was during pregnancy. I was scared out of my wits, worried I wouldn't be able to handle having TWO babies. I sincerely appreciate the warnings, as it did keep me on my toes and help me face the reality of two babies coming - and I really do think more of that sort of thing is needed with young moms who "fantasize" about having multiples - but I also think that the JOYS and FUN isn't emphasized enough to moms who are about to be there.
For the moms who've been prepared, and are now SCARED -- let's share some of the GREAT things about having two babies. The earlier in their lives you can think up fun stuff, the better, but share whatever you want! And come back and post again when you think of more!!!
As much as we talk about the ignorance of others who haven't ever been there, and as much as we talk about being annoyed at hearing everyone's stories about their sister's mom's best friend's cousin's uncle who had twins...
Sometimes, especially in the early days, that attention is fun! My twins were born in the beginning of September 2010. Christmas shopping that year, we were stopped (too often LOL) and cooed over a lot! People love babies, and the sheer CUTENESS of twins is unresistable. Having my first baby girl, I LOVED being able to tell everyone that she was my princess, and that God must have a purpose for me and my boys to send me yet another one. I told anyone that would listen - and because I had a captive audience who stopped ME so much of the time, I had lots of people listening.

It's mommy brag time!!!
