So we gave away our daughter's swing over a year ago, and of coarse now we are in need of one! We don't really have the room for two swings, so we were planning on getting one swing (Fisher Price Light show Swing) and one bouncer. Is this common or do you think we really need two swings and two bouncers?

Lord help us... lol

We currently have one swing and one bouncer, and I was planning to wait until the twins are born and see what they like before purchasing a second of either. That's what the books seem to suggest, but I'd also love to hear from BTDT Mamas about what worked for them!

We only had one swing for the boys because some babies don't even like them. I wanted to wait until after they were born. Turned out Luke hated the swing so we only needed one.

I think waiting to see what they like is a smart plan. We had 2 swings and one bouncer (1 of the swings and bouncer were a set we got at a consignment sale). Turns out both my kids liked the swings and hated the bouncer. I think we used our bouncer maybe a half dozen times, so I was certainy glad we hadn't bothered to get two of them.

We only used one swing and one bouncer the whole infant period. I think one of each is probably enough, and then if you discover that both babies REALLY prefer one of them you can get a second one at that time. Knowing what they'll prefer beforehand is impossible! Two "somethings" are necessary, but one swing and one bouncer did it for us.

I had one swing. I didn't have the room for 2 and I really don't think they would have spent much time in them at the same time. I had 2 bouncers b/c my boys slept in them for the first month or so due to reflux.

We didn't have the space or money for 2 of everything, so we had 1 travel swing. I ended up getting 2 bouncy seats, and that did come in handy. If I had to do it all over, and if I didn't have space, I would opt for 1 plug in swing. Travel one took too many batteries. I would take 1 large swing over 2 travel. Luckily, Sofia liked the bouncy and Maya liked the swing. So, while it would be nice to have 2 of everything, you can get away with 1!
