A couple more questions from our pregnant moms check-in thread. These are for those of you that had older siblings before your twins ... thank you all for taking the time to answer these for our new MoMs

1. For those of you with older kids, how did they react to you bringing home 2 babies at once? Do you think the adjustment for them was harder than it was/would have been with just one new sibling?

2. How did you help you rother children cope and how did you split your time between them all.

3. My 2 year old will be turning 3 shortly after the babies arrive. She seems very excited and anxious to help with the babies now. Did that stay true for any of you once you actually brought the newbies home?

DS1 was 29 months when we brought the twins home-we just made sure we were super excited and he didn't know he should react otherwise. He was always really helpful and loving towards them. He was an excellent age when the twins came home. The twins soaked up all of my time, but I made sure that I gave him special things to do because he was "bigger", and gave him more control over certain things. I couldn't have asked for a better big brother.

MarieJ I hope that's how things go for us. What kinds of things did you give him to do? How did you give him more control over things?
