We just had our 7 week u/s. We did IVF and transfer two blasts. The u/s shows two sacs and to babies. Baby A at 6w5d heartbeat at 133 and baby B at 6w4d heartbeat at 136. Is this normal for twins. The doctor didn't mention any concerns and before we saw baby B she had said baby A's meaurement was normal even though it is a couple of days behind. She didn't mention anything about baby B's size but did say both heartbeats were strong.

Any reason to be concerned? I guess I'm just looking to make sure they are ok. This was our second and final fresh IVF and with only one frozen embryo. I want more than anything for this to work out and we have two healthy babies. Thanks.

Hi, welcome and congrats! No need to be concerned at all! It is VERY normal for twins to measure a few days or even a week or so off as you get farther along. Remember measurements are just an estimate (and less and less accurate the bigger they get and the more squeezed they get in there). My Baby B (Abigail) was almost always behind Baby A (Noah), and it would get closer at some appts and more back farther apart at others. She ended up being 1 lb and 1 oz smaller than him at birth, but at 5 lb 9 oz at birth, she was still perfectly healthy.

Again, welcome .. let us know what we can do for you .. and I wish you a happy and healthy 9 months

Very normal. And it's pretty normal for IVF babies to be a bit behind. Congrats!!!

Ditto the other ladies...my twins were a couple of days behind at the beginning, but then later in the pregnancy they were a couple of days ahead. Congrats on your two little miracles

Thank you all. I'm just so worried about them. I guess that will never go away. It doesn't help I'm bloated and crampy but good news is that we found out at the u/s that my cramping and pain is not from the babies but from my ovaries which are still swollen and both of them are as big as my uterus with some minor fluid around them. :/ I just don't want anything to hurt the babies.

That's something you have to get used to...the worry. I never stopped worrying in either pregnancy, and now that I have 3 kids, I worry about them constantly

For the OHSS, drink a TON of Gatorade and take it easy...I hope that you are feeling better soon!
