Gavyn & Kendric have started taking off their clothes and diapers when they are sleeping/napping, then pooping and spreading it all over! ICK!!!!! I seriously don't know if I can handle this! I wonder if it is a sign they are ready to start potty training. I've started going in to their room as soon as I hear anything out of them, but they are being so quiet when they wake up!

Oh my gosh, so NOT looking forward to that phase! If they're smart enough to unzip each other, I think potty training time is here! What about separate rooms until they're potty trained? Or straitjackets? lol

ETA: or you could add buttons to their onesies to make it harder to get open?

Ok I'm a lurker here, but my son did the same thing. I duck taped his diaper on and the cut it off when it was time to change him. I had a newborn at the time and I was desperate, but it worked. You could also safety pin the zipper to the pj's. I did that too and it worked.

Oh my! Sounds like it's time to introduce the toilet to them. Meanwhile, I don't have much of any advice since I'm new at this, but it does sound like you got some good advice.

I know I won't be doing what my mother did with me. She thought by taking off my diapers and leaving me with nothing at nighttime would get me to use the toilet. Well, she had plenty of sheets to clean those months that she tried that. She told me about that, and I just thought that was hilarious. I actually remember waking up some nights peeing, but it didn't make me go to the toilet any faster...I was just about done by the time I woke up. I just got embarrassed. I think she learned her lesson, though. She told me she'd never have done that if she thought it wouldn't work the first time.

It's all trial and error. I hope you find something that works.

A child I nannyed for did that - until I gave him a bucket of soapy water (dreft detergent) and a wash cloth and made him wash his room before I gave him a bath (he coated the crib, wall, back of the door, and under the windows). He hated having to help clean it up and never did it again. He did potty train soon after that.

I think I'll go with the straitjackets! Actually, they haven't done it for the last few days, so maybe it was a quickly passing phase?! I haven't been leaving them unattended for very long either though, so that probably makes a difference.
