Has your heart kid/baby had any feeding issues? If so how have they been treated?

Yes but it's improving since they have done his OHS & treated his reflux.

He takes Zantac three times per day for his reflux & we thicken his feedings. But I have noticed a big difference in the past few days.

From the mums I have spoken to reflux seems to be a very common complaint with heart kids.

Boy do we have feeding issues! but they tested him for reflux and he didn't have it. our's is mostly just making sure that he eats enough. he seems to fight feeding and then cry because he hungry. that cycle, ugh! they did just change his formula to soy based and that seems to be helping.

Luke never really showed signs of reflux either. He had a bronchoscopy & a few other scopes for stridor. They noticed some irritation in his esophagus & decided to treat him aggressively because reflux can worsen what was causing the stridor (laryngomalacia).

foodislove, I hope the soy formula helps.

OMG yes, but not related to her CHD. She is also visually impaired and autistic where feeding disorders are very very common. She was on baby food until she was 4, ground table food until 5, chopped table now and she just learned to chew at the end of August. And she will be 7 in April.
