Hailey's cardiologist said "just watch out for over heating, but otherwise she's fine." Well, every time she gets a fever I panic! Today she has a 102 fever. I normally just let it runs its course and avoid medicine, but then it was creeping up 102.5 so I gave her some tylenal and she's sleeping now. It started to go down so I didn't call the doctor, but in an hour time it shot up to 102.5 from 101.9. The "newsletter" the pedi gives out says call within 24-48 hours if the fever does not go down and is between 102 -104. She's had higher fevers - she had a 103, but I took it again in 30 mins and it was down to 101.8, and even more an hour later. By bed time she was back to normal with no medicine.
It just scares me to death! She said her belly and ear hurt. She knows "heart hurt" so if her heart hurt I'm sure she'd say so. But my goodness I can feel her heart pounding when she is laying still. She hasn't be running around - I mean she's been active but I've kept her in bed watching movies drinking pedilyte. She ate a cheese sandwich for lunch. So she's eating and drinking fine. When is a fever - just a fever and not related to the heart? And univesral doctor lunch is from 1 to 2....so I can't get ahold of hailey's doctor.

((HUGS)) I hate when they don't feel well. Fevers can cause their heart rate to go up. But, if possible I would try to call the doc just in case she's getting an ear infection or something. The Tylenol will help. Keep us posted, I'll be thinking of you.
Thanks Yvonne (Jaidynsmum) for my beautiful siggy!
