We go to GA a few times a year. We were just there this weekend in fact. My DH's family lives out near Stone Mountain, which is out in the eastern suburbs of Atlanta. We're going back on the 4th of July and probably at least 2-3 more times this year.
My favorite memory is all of my SILs and BILs and their families sitting around together playing games into the wee hours of the morning when we get together for holidays. That's becoming a rarity though these days. Everyone is too busy
I've been to Georgia twice. Both times were on the way to/from Florida. My first time in Georgia, I actually choked on a hot dog in a restaurant and had to have the Himelick Maneuver done on me. Yeah, not really good times!

Oh I loved Stone Mountain! I can't believe I've lived here 6 years and only been to Stone Mountain once. I'm only 50 miles north of Atlanta, I really have no excuse.
I was born in south Georgia, Statesboro to be specific. My now-estranged father was in the Air Force so we've lived everywhere and I find myself back here now. It's an interesting state to say the least but not my favorite place.
Have been to GA several times. Had a great time in both Atlanta and Savannah. DH and I stayed and explored Savannah earlier this year on our way to FL for a cruise. Best memory was My first trip to Atlanta in 1999 when I went to my first formal ball.
