My weekend was absolutely amazing! It was the best time I've had in a very, very long time!
Friday night my friend from Milwaukee came to town. She & I went to dinner at my favorite place in town. After Aaden went to bed, 2 of our friends came over, and we (DH, me, my friend and our 2 friends) sat in the garage and drank beer for a few hours.
Saturday, DH took Aaden to the IL's, and the 5 of us headed to St. Louis. We had to pick up one of our friend's friend at the airport, then we headed to Busch Stadium for the Cardinals game. We were in an all-inclusive suite, and we had free, all you can drink beer for 8 innings, and free, all you can eat food for 2 hours. It was a blast! And, the Cardinals winning was great, too! After the game, we went to our hotel and hung out in the pool for awhile. When we were done there, we all got ready and headed to the club at the hotel. Our 2 friends went down before everyone else and decided to get us a table and a bottle, so they dropped quite a bit of cash! But it was totally worth it! We all had a great time laughing & dancing (which is something I never do!). When the club closed, we all went to Denny's to eat, and had the coolest waitress ever! We all crashed after we ate, and woke up not feeling too hot yesterday! When we got back to town, my friend left and drove a few hours so she didn't have to make the 7 hour drive in 1 day.
So, it was an amazing weekend! We said that we were reliving The Hangover, and we did in so many ways! We were celebrating our friend serving 15 years in the military and also him getting out of the military.
One bad part about the weekend - the guy that we had to pick up at the airport had to be taken off the plane in Miami yesterday (on his way to Orlando) because his nose was gushing blood and he couldn't see out of his right eye. They're saying he had a warning stroke, and could possibly have bleeding in his brain. It's so crazy how those things just pop up, because he was completely fine all of Saturday, Saturday night, and even yesterday before we took him back to the airport.
