I went to a Pampered Chef party last night, it started at 6 and didn't make it home until almost midnight! I was having such a good time.
Today all I have done is clean clean clean, and watch a few episodes of Dr. Quinn.
Both the kids have ear infections, Yuck! poor Quintin has it in both ears. Its making them cranky.

How was Due Date? DH scored free tickets from Facebook. His nightmare travel story was selected as one of the best and a bunch of people got free tickets! Too bad we have no date nights on the horizon to go use them, so we're going to have to use them separately. Sucks. But, it's a sacrifice of parenting and trying to save money.

What did they have for sampling at the party, Melissa? Angela is a consultant and gave me some citrus & basil rub and man oh man that stuff tastes great on chicken. In their latest catalog, the pumpkin maple trifle looks to die for. Hope the kids feel better soon

We went to get the oil changed in DH's car this morning and after a huge disaster unfolded about a previous alignment that may or may not have actually been completed despite paying for it, we found out that some sort of animal was making a nest in the engine, where the oil filter is. W.T.F??? The mechanic thought we'd had the car in storage, but DH drives it every day.

It was really good, and so funny! I loved it! "You better check yourself, before you wreck yourself."

Yuck, double yuck! Anything that goes wrong with your car and costs you money is just YUCK. We are going through a bunch of little routine stuff with the van and its driving me nutty.

At the PC show we had an awsome salad (still waiting of the recipe),molten chocolate cake(good but all it did was make we want warm chocolate melting cake),mini chocolate tiramisu cakes, chicken piccata pasta, a pull apart appetizer, a crescent roll pizza, and dip made with the spicy pineapple rum sauce. So good.
I ended up ordering a new knife and a trifle bowl.

I would love to see due date but it doesn't get there until next month.
Not sure if I will be on line much for the rest of the day today and tomorrow. I'm going back to the hospital again.

Everything OK? Are you going back for more testing or are you being admitted again?

Well the good news is that DH and I can go see Due Date together...because we have a free sitter now....my mom is coming to visit. Despite everything we've been through this year, I'm happy to see her, I just wish I'd have had more than 48 hours notice of her arrival....

Hey ladies!!!

Tonya - how awsome that your mom is coming.

Anyone have plans for veterans day?

DH has the day off, so we will just hang out around the house together with the kids.

We didn't have any real plans for today, but we ended up showing my mom some of the casinos in town, went to a place called Frostings to get $1 cupcakes for Veteran's Day, then we went to eat at a place that had 2-for-1 Veteran's Day buffets. I have eaten way too much today and neither my mom nor I even want to eat dinner but DH is crying that he's starving.

What's everyone up to for the weekend?

Tonya- how long is your mom going to be there?

We are going to a welcome home BBQ for one of our neighbors tonight, a farewell dinner for another neighbor tomorrow night and sometime in there we need to drive to the next base over to buy diapers because the commissary here no longer sells Luvs

No big plans here this weekend. DH will be in the woods all weekend, so Aaden & I will be hanging out at home.

Why did the comm. get rid of Luvs? That's lame. I'd been using the comm. brand diapers for a while, then they raised the price by over $3 a package! Now I've been ordering diapers off of amazon with them being 30% off with the subscribe & save stuff. And I have prime, so it's 2-day shipping. Woo!

All my child has done all day is either lay on the floor and sleep, or lay on the couch and watch TV. He's been running a fever all day, and hasn't eaten much. He get spurts of energy where he'll run around, but they don't last long and he's right back to laying down. I hope it's nothing serious, especially since it's Friday, and I wouldn't be able to get him in to his doctor until Monday.

Allison- Hope he starts feeling better soon.

Tonya- I buy the comm brand pull ups for Quintin to wear to bed & love them. They are like $4 less than "real" pull ups. We have to drive to another base to get them though.

I have been thinking all day about all the things I want to buy when I get back to the states. Just little stuff like new socks and undies and maybe a new set of pots and pans.

Ugh, my friend's wanting to go to Vegas in a few weeks, and wants me to go with her. I SO wish I had the extra money, and had no responsibility, because I'd be there in a heartbeat!

I feel your pain Allison. I was invited on a girls cruise and I just can't swing it. Ugh.

Our weekend was nice. We went to New Orleans. I might post some pictures later if I can get a few spare minutes. I also made pumpkin dark chocolate chip cookies and just gained about 20 pounds eating them

It's cold here. I miss the 70* weather we were having last week.

We had a boring weekend. Aaden ran a super high fever all day Friday, I slept on the living room floor Friday & Saturday night (while Aaden slept on the couch), DH hunted all weekend.

It a wonderful Thursday here is Germany. We are getting ready for a 3 day weekend, whoo hoo. I am looking forward to a european bazzar here this weekend. It will have over 200 vendors selling all kinds of fun stuff. Including lots of WINE!
Since DH didntmake it home for lunch today I made myself a Ruben. Yummy! I dont get to fix them very often because DH hates the smell of saur kraut and the German kind I buy in town is extra strong smelling but super yummy.

Is there anything you like to eat that your DH or famillies wont eat?

Allison, is Aaden feeling better now?

Have a great long weekend, Melissa. Pretty much everything I eat, DH won't touch. So my diet consists of meats, starches and sugary sweets to accommodate his tastes. And I wonder why I can't finish off these last 15 pounds. I have gained back the 7 pounds I lost while he was deployed last summer and I was able to eat what I wanted.

Yes he is! His fever only lasted that one day, and by Saturday, he was back to his old self. It was weird, but I'm glad it's over!
