I thought I'd bring this up here since it's the travel forum. As we all love to travel, I'm sure you already know what I'm talking about.
I recently saw a video of a 3-year-old girl getting pulled aside for a pat down and she was screaming "DON'T TOUCH ME! GET AWAY!" It was so heartbreaking to watch. I don't know if I could let them do that to Maddie without either bawling or being taken away in handcuffs.
There was also a woman who was pulled aside for wearing a cloth pad through the scanner machine. They flagged her because she had excessive clothing around her groin area and was subjected to a more invasive than usual groin patdown.
So, what are your thoughts on the new procedures? Does it make you more weary of booking travel where you will have to fly? My neighbor is strongly considering driving from Biloxi to the northern tip of MN instead of flying because she's worried about radiation and pat-downs. That's a long time to spend in the car with a 13 month old, but I do think they're asking us to put up with a lot at the airport. I just hope it really truly prevents terror attacks so that we're not doing all of this for nothing.
