We went on a cruise in 2005 during the week of Valentine's Day. Spent the actual day in Nassau at Cable Beach and Senor Frogs.
No Valentine's plans for us. You know us, we're the anti-valentine's. Nothing against the day, I just don't feel the need to celebrate it. I do usually do a Valentine's gift from Maddie to DH. She's daddy's little girl so it's always cute. This year I might have her help me make cookies for him since she's my little helper in the kitchen.
What's everyone been up to? The board is so quiet.

No Valentine's Day plans for us. We might send Aaden somewhere and go to dinner, but we haven't really talked about it yet.
This board is dead and so is my PR. We started a FB group for our PR last week, and just in the first day, we already had more posts than our PR has had in the last few months!

Allison- i love the new pic of Aaden, he is so adorable.
Tonya- baking with the kids is sooo much fun isn't it.
No VDay plans for us this year. Brian leaves for Korea that evening so Im protesting all the lovey dovey junk. The kids and I did get DH gifts a new camera and a video game. I got a new Toyota last week and DH is trying to tell me that is my gift...if he knows whats good for him he will get me something else.

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was fun...started off Friday running around like crazy all day and by the end of the night, I ended up at an impromptu night at the casino with a friend and won $88. Yesterday wasn't too exciting....in fact, I was so exhausted yesterday that I don't even remember much about it! I remember going to the grocery store and DH went to play poker....
Today was nice enough to go to the park finally. Weighed in at 3.4 lbs lost this morning and I'm sure I gained it back after eating out tonight. The calories weren't bad (only about 600) but I'm sure the sodium content is through the roof - I can tell I'm retaining water already! Gonna watch Desperate Housewives in a few and bake those Valentine cookies with Maddie before she goes to bed.

Sorry he had to go Melissa. And on Valentine's Day too Well you're one day closer to him coming home I guess, right?
The weather is gorgeous here this week. I actually went outside without a jacket on to check the mail today. I think we're going to go for our 3rd park day in a row this afternoon after Maddie wakes up.

Heck yes, I am so ready for a park day.
Brynn- how did the massage go? I have never done a couples massage but have always wanted to.
No school for me today, my day care lady is sick so I had to call in. The instructor was PO'ed and I will have to go a few extra days and a bunch of extra hours to make up the time I missed. Good thing I got the highest score on testing yesterday. I've been studying my behind off and all of my anatomy stuff from being in school last time.

Oh my gosh, ya'll will never believe this. I was driving on AK1 on the way home from Wal-Mart and a man 2 cars ahead of me hit 2 moose! ended up being a 14 car accident with lots more involved. Both animals didnt pass right away and had to be put down right there on the highway. I will spare you the gory details. The kids and I are okay but I took to a snow drift pretty hard in the truck trying to avoid hitting the already smashed car infron of me. I drove it home but am taking it to get looked at.

I'm so glad you are alright. Were you able to get it looked at yet? THat's so scary.
Maddie has been a complete bear these past few days. She was doing so good and now it's like she's suddenly regressing. I don't know what to do

Tonya- send her to me that's the answer! The only thing I can think of is her schedule being different?

There's not really anything different about it. The only thing I can think of is that maybe she's bored...we were super busy these past 2 weeks and now this week we've been home every day working on home stuff. Her basic schedule is the same though - wake up, eat, play, eat, sleep, wake up, eat, play, eat, sleep. I'm thinking of eliminating that first nap again because she had a lot of trouble sleeping last night. She may be getting too much sleep? She didn't fall asleep until about 10, I heard her wake up at midnight and some other point in the night and then she woke me up by 7 this morning - come to think of it, maybe she just had a growth spurt. She spent the last few weeks sleeping like a hibernating bear and giving me teenager attitude every time I would wake her up.
What's everyone doing this weekend? I'm going to ride in a mardi gras parade float. I'm a little nervous, I hear the crowds can get wild and our float will have our kids with us on it.

Did you end up baking bread? I need to get a breadmaker. I guess I really don't since my kitchen aid mixer will do all the kneading for me and I have plenty of loaf-size pans, but I'm too lazy for even that.
Been a quiet couple of days, but starting tomorrow another flurry of activity begins. Sunday we leave for Disney World!
