The way this Women's Health Center works is your first time you go it is more of a consultation, question and answer session and a review of your medical history. Then you schedule another appointment, which is for a full physical examination, a pelvic examination, etc. and if needed an ultrasound is scheduled.
Now. They informed me I have to do the consultation on Tuesday, then the following week will be the actual physical exam. But, given my history, they are giving me what they call an early OB appointment tomorrow to "reassure" me and help me feel better about things. But...I kind of forgot to ask exactly what this appointment is going to entail. It's at their main location which was mandatory (and this is the building where they have their only ultrasounds). So I'm HOPING I get an ultrasound but I don't know. I'm guessing they're going to give me a pelvic exam and stuff and just talk to me, and possibly write a prescription. But has anyone else had something similar to this? Oh and I am 11 weeks and still haven't had an appointment because we were in between insurance. So that is sort of making me think they just might give me an ultrasound, even though she sounded so excited that my numbers from my quantitative hcg were so great.
I guess I'll shave my legs just in case! lol. I haven't felt good at all this week. I need to shave really bad, it's been a couple weeks and my legs are starting to get hairy.
I had early ob appointments with each sub pregnancy. Here we see our family doc until 7 or 8 months and then the ob for the rest of the pregnancy, with one or 2 appointments just to meet an ob before 8 months. In my early ob appointments they took my history, did the weight, talked about what care I should expect, what blood tests, ultrasounds and such and then did an exam. We also talked about induction and when this would happen. I never had an u/s the same day because I always saw the specialist but I never had to wait long and since i never knew exactly how far along I might be they sent me for an u/s to date me and also to set up another appointment for the nuchal. I think it was pretty much to reassure me and let me know they would watch my baby very closely. I hope you get to have the ultrasound when you go in!

when I found out I was pregnant (only 5 weeks) I called my family doc and my high risk doc basically freaking out. My family doc got an early ultrasound for me at 6W1D but I haven't seen my high risk doc yet. I have a phone appt to go over family history and my first appt with my high risk doc is on Monday (yay!) I will be 9 weeks at that appt.
I'm just really antsy to get an ultrasound. I feel like everything is fine (being extremely sick doesn't mean anything is wrong). I'm just really anxious to see this baby. Especially since I am 11 weeks. We had an U/S to date the pregnancy with Roald ay 9 weeks and he already looked like a little humn being. So this one should look even more defined and I just want to see him or her so badly. I've also recently been getting frightened I'm having twins and need to see one baby. I hope they give me one!!!!!
