I had to postpone my 3 hour gtt test until Thursday. I'm hoping it all comes back normal.
They have me down as being possible to develop pre-e though. All because of their equipment. Their blood pressure machine is way off on it's readings....I'll get like....151/90....REALLY high for me. If they do it manually, it is more accurate, like 115/62. But, they had to let me sit and talk to a specialist Thurs. too, about how if I have headaches, blurred vision, etc. call them immediately.....
I don't even have any swelling unless I've been up all day, and then it's just mild swelling on my ankles. I think they're going to try to diagnose me with everything this pregnancy. They've even said when we get your 3 hour test back we'll discuss options....like they know I'm going to fail....
I had pre-e with both my pregnancies. I had MAJOR swelling in my legs and hands and face. If you pushed on my leg the dent would stay there for a LONG time. My BP wasn't high either time until it got severe and then it went up to like 200/150 (that was on the lower end of my readings). They always had to use the manual sphygmomanometer to get any reading on me. Those digital ones are crap... honestly. I take BPs a lot on my friends and family and I hate those digital ones.
Also if you urine cultures are coming back clear, you have no headache or loopy feeling or blurred vision, I doubt highly it is pre-e.
Hope everything comes back completely normal! Ask for them to use the manual sphygmomanometer every time!
Now, I didn't notice any symptoms with my first. I had them, I just didn't think anything of it. My feet were swollen, but I put it off as I had been up for too long. My head hurt a bit, but I was pregnant and I thought it was making me have headaches now and again. When I made it into the hospital I was spilling protein in my urine like crazy and my head felt like it was going to explode. My BP was upwards of 250/190. My left kidney wasn't functioning at all and my right one was barely there. It was pretty awful. I watched my BP and swelling like a hawk during my next pregnancy.
