My original due date is December 19th, but my doctor scheduled a C-section for December 14th. Well, yesterday I had one of my twice-weekly Perinatologist appointments and due to the Gestational Diabetes, Pippi is already weighing in at a whopping 8 lbs. 8 ozs. at 36 weeks gestation.
So the Perinatologist said he'd talk to my OB about possibly pushing up the date by a week. That would mean Pip would be here in just about 2 weeks. Holy cannoli! I can't believe that it turned from "less than a month away" to "two weeks away"
But I have to admit, I am so so so so so excited and am feeling hopeful with each day that goes by. Pippi is otherwise looking great, the heart is beating strong, the blood flow through the cord is just fine, and she is (as the Perinatologist keeps telling me) "looking great!"
Soooo, I just wanted to share some of this news with all you Moms. Pippi might be here before we know it! And we are about 90% positive we have a name ... no middle name, but at least a first name (ha!).
Thank you to Jaidynsmum for my beautiful siggie!
I'm Barb, Mom to Angel on Earth Julia Rose (7*22*08), her twin brother Angel in Heaven Noah (7*22*08), and rainbow baby Sydney Noelle (12*4*09).
