We got to see baby's little heart beating away. Baby was measuring at 8 weeks, 3 days which is pretty much right on and everything is looking perfect so far. I talked to my doctor about the actual birth to see how he would be for a natural birth and he was all for it. He said I could push in any position I want (squatting, all fours, etc) and that baby would be placed on my tummy right away. He was fine with delaying cutting the cord. He said he won't even talk induction until 41 weeks. He said this is a natural process and I can do whatever I want. So, that made me feel much better. His nurses had me thinking this wasn't a very natural child birth friendly office. The doctor also told me I didn't have to do any testing I didn't want to do. He spent about an hour with us and I came away feeling really good about everything. And without further ado...here's our bean.

The pic is so cute! I'm glad you had a great appointment. It's nice that the doctor is so supportive and understanding. Is it the same doctor you had your prior pregnancies with ?

He was the doctor that was on-call when I went into the hospital with Eli. I was seeing home birth midwives at the time so I didn't have an OB. But, he is amazing and I'm so glad that he's my doc now. He is the most compassionate, gentlest OB I have ever met.
