Baby had a fetal echocardiogram today. Sometimes diabetes can affect a baby's heart, and sometimes one of my meds can cause a defect too.

Neither of those things has happened!!! His heart was fine!

So we have now reached a turning point - we cannot lose this baby the same way we lost Ethan. I'm still high risk, and bad things can still happen, but diabetic embryopathy can't.

Relief doesn't even begin to describe how I feel. Maybe one of my babies will survive.

Rebecca what a relief! Granted we dont' know if the omphalocele or 2 vessel cord had anything to do with Joey's death, I imagine we felt a similar relief when we found out that this little girl has a healthy cord and her organs all in the right places.

I agree, it is kind of a relief isn't it? With Erin and Patrick, I was definitely very relieved when the bpps showed that they weren't wrapped in their cords.

So YAY for a healthy heart!!!
