I haven't been around much because I've been spending all my spare time at the hospital, but now I have a new reason to be MIA. Chloe's finally home!! I am so happy and so nervous, all at the same time. She still hasn't been given a clean bill of health and I have a ton of meds to give her, but she seems to be doing so well! She was positive on a metabolic screen, and we are still waiting on the results of the second urine screen. I have to take her to a pediatrician on Tuesday, back to the NICU hospital for an eye test on Thursday, back to see genetics (appointment not yet booked) and back to see GI once per month, but I can't express how awesome it is to have her home. She is such a good baby! Last night was our first night at home and I think I got about 3 hours sleep. Because she is a preemie she is only eating 50 ml at each feed and I have to wake her to feed her every 3 hours. I'm freaking out because my son has come down with a cold, so I am using Clorox wipes on everything and everyone must use hand sanitizer before touching her. I don't know what else to do about it, but I am so stressed and worried that Chloe will get sick. I wonder how long this fear will last. Forever? LOL, anyway, that's my happy update. I will share some pictures when I can unglue my eyes enough to take them!

The fear lasted about a year and a half for me. That was when she got her first big cold and was able to get over it without going to hte hospital and I thought, "Wow, we might just be able to do this." LOL.

I'm SUPER glad she is home!! Congratulations!!

I'm so glad to hear that she is home and doing well.
Praying that she doesn't get sick and that all of her appointments go perfectly.
