I grew up with a military family and I married into the Army after college at 21.. so, I have had the military health care all my life and despite desperately seeking appointments and help I got nowhere.. In fact, the last said "well, I have no magic bullet for you". I am sure some people get excellent care.. I just have not had much luck with the military.. actually in early December I made an ICE complaint about that doctor and they finally took me seriously and gave me a referral to a German (non-army) doctor and it has been the best experience of my life. Where it usually takes a month to get an appointment, I called and got in in 3 days. He did some blood work and had me come in a week later for more blood work and did an internal ultrasound and verified PCOS and showed me the cysts and started me on treatments and set a follow up for 4 weeks to see how medication works. I am thrilled that I got out of the military health care system for some help. Since my hubby might deploy again in March or April, we are hoping for the best. I feel you Amber. We tried last year for a month and then he got deployed. He got back in March and we have been trying since.. so, almost a year.. but I told doctors a year so they would take me seriously since I knew for sure I had PCOS... and they verified it.
