There are waaay too many sub categories, so I'll post here and if it gets moved please someone tell me LOL!

I'm 22, this is my first, 6 wks along, my VERY unexpected, and I have PCOS (diagnosed in 06)

Not sure if any of that is relevant.

The last 3 days I have felt extremely full, so all I have forced myself to eat is: 2 containers of yogurt, and 3 mini oranges (size of tangerine) :/ been drinking a lot of water.

I KNOW this is not healthy. But I have absolutely no appetite and I feel like if I eat much more than what I have been, I'll throw up. (That is my 2nd biggest fear, throwing up. Emetophobia)

I got dry heaves this morning and threw up a very little in my throat and it had a metallic taste I've been tasting for these last 3 days as well.

Please help? :'(

Maybe one of the other ladies has more helpful suggestions, I've never been pregnant so don't have any personal advice to give you.

I just want to welcome you to JM! Hopefully you enjoy your time here!

You'll soon get to 10. Those rules are there because they prevent a LOT of spam. PMs I think are also enabled when you get to 10.

OK...welcome to JM, and congratulations!

The metallic taste is normal for early pregnancy, I had it with my son, and have had it again with this pregnancy. It's also normal to have problems eating / with appetite / nausea in the first trimester. Try not to worry unduly about sickness, because many women are not actually sick - they just feel nauseous. It sounds like you're doing the right thing trying to get down some healthy stuff like fruit and yogurt. Whatever you manage to eat during your first tri, the baby will pull on the reserves in your body and still do fine. If you start losing weight or becoming overly concerned, though, of course ask your midwife/doc for advice.

Many of the ladies on the August Due Date Club are experiencing similar things, or were doing so a few weeks ago. Are you due in August? If so do come and join us (link is in my siggy). We have also been talking about making fruit smoothies and homemade soups which are not so filling but very nutritious, to help some of the ladies combat these sorts of problems. If you're due in September (sorry, not good at working it out off top of my head) I'm sure the September DDC is just as supportive and understanding!

I'm not sure how busy it is but there is also a Women's Health board where you may be able to get some advice.

I feel your pain, I get sick a lot in pregnancy, luckily it isn't my worst fear, but it is AWFUL.
