Thanks Patty! I'm not sure what my email was 3 years ago. I was experiencing some of login issues this morning! It said I was logged in, my circle was green, but it kept telling me to login. I'm here now though!
Awe, I'm sorry to hear about your daughter! Must be very scary for you both! Those grand mal ones especially though. My nephew nearly bit his tongue off during the last one.
They have ruled out viral memingitis, but did find a blood infection. The poor little guy (he's 2) ended up having a bad allergic reaction to the antibiotic they gave him for it though. They did do an EEG and that went smooth. They're waiting on the genetic testing now. My brothers girlfriend has autism on her side of the family. They're pretty sure my nephew has something called Fragile X Syndrome, which unfortunately, he has most of the symptoms already ranging from the flat feet, bigger ears, head and body (he's in the same size clothes as my 4 year old son!), not walking or talking, to the seizures. Unfortunately, they have to wait 3 months for the results. But he's home and doing okay. Doesn't like the anti-seizure med at all. It makes him disoriented and tired. He's doing good other wise though, that's what matters!
