Hey there everyone. I am an expectant mother in her first trimester, currently living in Illinois with my husband, two cats, and a dog.

we just found out about this pregnancy and are feeling overjoyed and a bit overwhelmed. You see, our first child passed away from SIDS so, although this is absoloutely what we want, the emotions are just...different...than the average parent.

Anyway, I'd love to connect with other mommies and build some friendships!

Welcome to JM! First, I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your first baby. My brothers baby passed from SIDS also, and it was a heartbreaking time. Next, congrats on your pregnancy! Pregnancy after a loss definitely brings up a whole range of emotions that you never expect.

You should definitely check out your Due Date Club, to talk to other moms who are pregnant and due around the same time. You might also enjoy the Pregnancy and Motherhood after a loss board. I really hope you will join us on the Midwest Mommies board too!
