My name is Savannah and I'll be 29 this Aug, hubby will be 28 this month. I have an autoimmune disorder's (Crohn's & arthritis) which is why I joined this group, I can't relate with any ladies I'm around on a daily basis it seems as though they get pregnant when the wind shifts. I'm going to preconception appts at this time and our tentative date of me coming off BC is in November....so I we are excited.

I have been in remission for 8 years without any medication, so I think we have that going for us.

I'm going to a high-risk preconception appointment in three weeks and I have a few things to ask but other than that I'm clueless.

Thanks in advance for any advice, comments or suggestions.

Savannah

First of all, welcome! And, good luck to you when you start TTC!

I'm Heather and new here too. I'm a SAHM to two little guys, Jacob (4) and Henry (19 months). I don't know what it's like to have the autoimmune disease and everything else you do, but I did have my first baby 4 weeks early, he was underweight and landed in the NICU for a week. Then when I conceived my youngest they determined I have MTHFR which is a blood clotting disorder and causes low birthweight babies or miscarriages (which I had one prior to conceiving my first son). Anyway long story short, I know what it's like to have a high risk pregnancy as my last one was high risk and if I have anymore children they'll be high risk pregnancies as well. It's a lot of blood work and doctor's appointments/ultrasounds, but it's so worth it in the end!! Good luck to you!
