I'm new, me and my husband are TTC for the first time and I'm looking forward to get some helpful advice on this board. This time is very exciting but also raises many, many questions... I was wondering if anybody here has experience on conceiving right after getting off the birth control? I was on birth control for 14 years and just stopped taking it 1 week ago. I'm a little nervous and scared to get a miscarriage or something would go wrong in case if I would conceive right away since I heard that your body should adjust for at least one cycle? I noticed that my ovaries are seriously active since I got off, feels like light pre-menstrual pain. Has anyone else experienced this after getting off the pill? The last time I was off the pill, I had the same light pains and my ovulation was 2 weeks delayed, is that normal? I would be glad to hear some positive experiences.
It took me a few months to conceive after BC, but that ended in a M/C. I'm still not on BC and I'm waiting for that miracle to happen for my husband and I. But, every women's body is different. So, you might not have a problem with it. And, I hope you see your BFP soon. I heard, that you should wait at least one cycle, not sure why. I noticed those when I got off, and it's normal. Your body is trying to get back to normal since you were on BC for so long. It should be back to normal soon.
Thanks so much for sharing your story! I hope you see your BFP soon as well, I can only imagine how difficult and heartbreaking a M/C must be... Stay strong and don't give up, I'm sure it will happen soon!
