Hi I am new to this site. I have an adopted daughter who will be 8 next month. She has been diagnosed as borderline in her development. She is currently in mainstream school, but is struggling. I live in Hong Kong and unfortunately the only assistance costs an arm and a leg. She has great difficulty with understanding number concepts and reading. I get very frustrated during her homework, when, for example, she cannot understand one more or one less with her numbers. I feel awful at how I address such simple mistakes, and I would like some help on how I can assist her so that she can begin to learn the basics. Thank you.
Hi and welcome to JM! There are lots of great boards here. Check out the education section. There are 5 boards under that. Maybe the ladies at The Teacher's Lounge will have some advice for you. Good luck
