I'm all smiles. We've been bouncing the subject around a bit lately, but never actually talked about it. It's been mentioned here and there. Most of our friends have children, and, when we visit, we always say we're going "to see the babies" rather than the parents. This morning, my s.o. and I were talking about children, and he asked me if I want them now. I told him, whenever he is ready...no pressure, and his response was "It's definitely time." I have been wishing for those words for about a year. I'm not telling friends or family yet, just in case things don't go well, but I would burst if I didn't tell someone! According to my physician, I may have a difficult time. Also, several of my family members have miscarried, including my oldest sister who has been unsuccessful for 6 years. I have been on birth control for a few years, so I don't want to start ttc right away. I want to ready my body, begin with NTNP and go from there.
*A little about me* I'm a newbie to the site, and I am excited to cheer on, encourage, and help others! Neither of us have children. I'm in my mid 20's,and my sweetie is nearing 40. I love: hiking, kayaking, nature, and art. I look forward to meeting everyone!

that's wonderful...Congratulations! What an exciting time for you...We are done having kids. Just had our 4th, but boy will I miss that time when we were trying!!!

After I came off the pill, it took me 6 -8 months each time to get pregnant. I guess we were trying, we didn't prevent, and didn't actually do any timing or anything but it took a bit! Good luck to you!

Thank you. I don't intend to time, but I've already been peeking at my ovulation calendar. No harm is knowing right? haha Any idea how long to wait after coming off of the pill? Will conceiving too soon cause developmental issues?
