I just took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. I have had 2 children and have always had periods at least the first 2 months of pregnancy. I just had a period which only lasted about 3 days (which has been normal for me the last 7 months, I used to have 5 day periods, now they are 3 days). Well the one I just had, one day before I actually started I had just a smear of blood when I wiped then the next day nothing than on 10/13th I started bleeding-it was real light (I normally am very heavy). I bled til the 15th and I would say it was a medium flow but I had the usual period cramps, but alot of urinating. My last period started on 9/14 and I bled for 2 days stopped and then started on the 17th (just that day) and than stopped again. I know I ovulated around the last week of the month, and my husband and i were intimate 2 days of that week. It's been around 18 days since I ovulated and my husband and I were intimate. As I said I did have a period, but a very strange one. Today I took the test it came out negative but I'm still thinking I'm pregnant. I have had a little, very little brown spotting today even though my period basically ended yesterday. Could it be the HCG levels are too low? Thank you
Honestly if you are concerned I would call your doctor. Are you positive you are 18dpo? At that point, most women would get an accurate result on a hpt, but if you aren't sure, then please call your doctor. Welcome to JM!\
You may want to post this in the trying to conceive board, the women there can be very helpful.
