thanks for checking in on me Juli!... I've been slacking with the boards lately.. being on a break sucks...
Anyway... after a long discussion with my PCM yesterday, talking about my history (thank god she already knows it), and showing her Jeff's SA's and telling her his count for our IUI, she completely agreed with me that we should be moving onto IVF. She was very sympathetic and nice about it all. So she's writing up my referral, I have to give it a few days to go through the system, then get a copy and fax it up to Walter Reed. She also put in an order for all the pre IVF blood work that they require. I've had a lot of it done already, but that was through my RE, it's much easier just to redo it then get the results from them. lol. So I went and got 10 more vials drawn, not even all of it either because I still need CD3 FSH E2 done... sick of being a pin cushion already... but I know it's just gonna get worse. lol.
Well it sounds like it was a productive appt. I'm glad you are moving forward with something that will give you a much better chance of success. I can understand how being on a break sucks BIG TIME but I'm glad you popped in tonight. And I totally can relate to feeling like a pin cushion!! I have to get more vials drawn tomorrow for my HIV test which is one of the required pre IVF tests.
One day, when we have our babies, we'll all look back on this and it will seem like the time just flew by. One day...
Pretty much.. Walter Reed is up to a 6 month wait, they try and get you in as quick as they can though.. But they only do 4 cycles a year (broken up into 3 months each).. each cycle they do 120 IVF's (30 of those are with ICSI)... Jeff won't even be home until the end of February and then we're moving... so hopefully the wait won't be too bad.
