I know that six months is not a long time in the grand scheme of things, but since we did NTNP for the first 2.5 years of our marriage, and now have been TTC with donor sperm for six months, it feels MUCH longer!

I'm so grateful that we have a known donor, but since he lives far away we have costs every single month when we buy one of these semen shippers (http://www.zdlinc.com/biotranz_xp.html) and then pay the overnight shipping costs too. It makes me feel so badly when I don't ovulate on my normal schedule and we have to do it twice!

The other thing about having a known donor is that I worry he'll change his mind, or get a new girlfriend or something that doesn't want him to do this for us anymore. I went and has my FSH tested and it was normal, and he's had his analysis and he is above normal, so why isn't it working yet?

Argh! This is why I envy people who get pregnant accidentally - they don't have to wait at all, by the time they think about being pregnant, they already are!

I'm really sorry that you haven't gotten your BFP yet with donor sperm. I really hope you get it soon. And I completely agree with the envying folks who get pregnant 'accidently'. Everytime I hear, 'it was just the one time' or 'we normally use protection', or 'it was a total surprise!' I really want to be like 'yeah right, you're lying, because it ain't that easy!'

I'm sorry it hasn't worked yet.. but I totally envy those people too... there's a girl on another board I post on, she has 2 children I believe that were all "oops" babies, well this month she decided she wants to have a planned pregnancy, and guess what! She's pregnant already that's so not fair

I know its hard... we are all going thru it but you just have to have faith.

Also, have you considered switching donors... I know that you know your current donor but maybe you and him are just not compatable.

you're right it doesnt make sense if the egg is there why arent you getting pregnant. Its just such a confusing business. We're taught in school sex ed that egg + sperm = baby 100% of the time.
I hate that they give you false hope in school and then one day you learn the truth.
