hi all. i told ya jacob was in the hopsital wednesday...he is still in there.
his weight caused the bloodclot...they also diagnosed him with high blood pressure (duh.) and sleep apnea(ms?). he will need a machine to sleep and most likely freaking oxygen until he gets better. they also put him on a low-carb low-sodium diet.
he is almost 500#'s, so we need to get the weight off before we do anything else.

Which means....we're gonna have one heck of a bill from the hospital. yeah, we have insurance, but with the tests, labwork, chest x-rays...as many nights as he has been in there, 2 ambulance rides, ER charges, etc...we're screwed. no money. NO SPERMBANK. NO BABY.

I have been waiting for 4+ years to be mommy....now I have to wait even longer to HAVE a chance because take away the spermbank option....there ARE no other options.

I luv'ed talking to u guys...you really are awesome! Hopefully when things calm down and we can afford to try (how silly is that...most people can try to get pregnant for free. Just have sex with your husband- EASY RIGHT?!?!?) I'll check back in with ya

Kaitlyn ((((hugs))) Many prayers for your hubby and you. I hope he gets all the help he can with his weight and health (((hugs))) I know for my hubby even if he isn't eating right he takes these pills that help cut the index level of his foods by 50%. He is exercising now, which he NEVER did and more. Keep on loving and supporting that hubby of yours and watch as he gets better my friend. Hold onto hope. As long as you have eachother, that's all that matters and the baby(ies) will come in due time.

Kaitlyn, I'm so sorry that things are tough right now. I'll be praying that Jacob gets better soon, & I know you have been so concerned about his weight, and maybe now he'll be motivated to do the best he can at losing it. I'll be also praying that your insurance will cover the majority, if not all of his medical costs. Don't count yourself out yet! You are more than welcome to hang here with us while you are figuring things out, you don't have to leave us if you don't want to Tell Jacob we are all pulling for him!

Poor Jacob, and poor you! One tip that I learned last time my hubby was hospitalized, is to call up your insurance company and tell them you want a case manager. That way you have one person that you always talk to at the insurance company, and you can run any bills past that one person before paying any of them. If we hadn't done that, we'd have ended up overpaying a lot for bills that our insurance was supposed to handle. Also, you can apply for financial aid directly from the hospital - just ask to talk to someone in billing services about it.

I'll be hoping that it turns out to be more affordable than you thought and that Jacob is able to get healthy again quickly! HUGS!
