Our third ultrasound this morning went extremely well. To start off, my uterine lining is now at 7.1mm, so I have officially broken the 7mm threshold!! My "nest" is ready to go, hehe. Additionally, it appears my left ovary is now trying to go for the gold with a whopping
11 follies in full or near maturity!!

My RE was delighted by its progress, actually shouting, “Look! Look! They’re exploding in there!” and pointing excitedly at the monitor. Thank you God for this amazing turn of events!!!
Of course, I still have my problem child… my right ovary... sigh. This one’s still slacking, although to its credit, it’s made good progress since last week. There are no follies at full maturity yet, but at least 5 that are getting there. Between my left and right sides, I have 6 follies that are ready to go, and another 10 that are huffing and puffing trying to make it to the finish line.
So apparently I’m not a “poor responder” to my stim meds, I’m just a “slow responder.” Whatever – as long as I’m responding, I don’t care! Here’s a summary of my progress since starting my Follistim:
2/4 – 4 days of stimming – 8-10 follies total, all immature. Uterine lining = 5.1mm
2/7 – 7 days of stimming – 10 follies total, including 6 near maturity. Uterine lining = 6.9mm
2/9 – 9 days of stimming – 16 follies total, including 6 fully mature and 10 near maturity. Uterine lining = 7.1mm
I’m on orders to stim for 2 more nights, and then I have my last ultrasound on Wednesday morning! Me RE said I will trigger on Wed or Thursday night, and should prepare for surgery on Friday or Saturday. Wow.
