DH/SO Name: Jeff
DH/SO Age: 23
DH/SO Occupation: He's in the Navy!
Where do you live?: right now we're in Hampton, Virginia.. we're moving in exactly a week to Odenton, Maryland
How long have you been TTC?: since November 2007.. so this would be what Month 16.. almost Month 17..
What's your diagnosis?: obviously male factor infertility. lol.. but specifically low count, low morphology and low motility
When did you find that diagnosis out?: We found out in February 2008, my DH had a feeling so he went to get a SA done w/o telling me.. low and behold he was right and it was extremely low.. We had a repeat SA done in August with the same results (they guesstimated at under 5 million).. another SA in September revealed better results (16.9 million concentrated.. 48 million total with 18% motility and 15% morphology).. sadly we both believe that those results were human error because of all the other ones and the counts with our IUI's.
What have you already done (Clomid, Femera, IUI, IVF, etc.)?: We've done two rounds of Clomid with a trigger shot and IUI.. the first time his count was 357,000 and the second one his count was 950,000. Neither one worked
What are your future plans when it comes to TTC?: We're doing our first IVF w/ ICSI in April.. *fingers crossed* that it works the first time..
How many kids do you want?: We'd ideally like only 2.. we're very open to having a third if we end up with twins from the IVF though.. time will tell.
Anything else you want to tell us?: Jeff will be home on Tuesday!!
