I guess I don't really know where to start. a year ago my dh was told he had no sperm and we could not have children. Then, a MF doctor told him that he had a blocked vein and it was causing the problem. Well, last jan he had the surgery. they said it would take four months until we should even expect to get pregnant. Well, so june of last year was the first month that we should even think of even trying. I am starting to get worried because June is creeping up and still no pregnacy has occured. What if the surgery didn't work as much as it should. My dh says he can see a differnce in his "little guys". I have not had a check up yet to see his s/a because I am too scared. If it doesn't happen by june then we will go. we are supposed to go to a fertilty place.

To answer your question, how can lost hope be found....
Well, I for one can tell you that many times during our TTC process I have lost hope but never my faith that we will one day have a child. You find hope by doing everything possible that will help you concieve....in your instance, go have that SA done.. you don't know the results so right now you are working blindly. Maybe after you have the SA done, you may need to visit with RE to see what your next options are..
You take each bit of information and you process and in there you will find hope that this will happen.

Amber, the surgery for you DH's varicocele could very well have worked. Let's say that it did work, and he has awesome sperm now. June started the time period where he was healed and new sperm were being formed. Now, if there are no other issues, y'all are just like every other fertile couple. You wait and wait, but not pg. But here's the thing. Even for a fertile couple, it can take 12 months to get pg. So I would get the repeat SA, even though its scary, and find out what is going on.

I'm curious how much a SA costs? We might have to have one done as well.
