I really dont. I wouldnt call someone a bad parent because they do spank though. Different parents have different parenting styles.

Its like the whole breastfeeding vs formula thing. I breastfed but I couldnt care less if someone chooses to formula feed or not.

As long as the kid is fed/loved who the bleep cares.

Amen Heather. A lot of people have to find out what works that particular child.

I got my rear end tore up on a regular basis when I was a kid, lol. I had an older brother whose stuff got blamed on me, lol. I turned out relatively fine But when I do spank my children I will make sure that they are scared to death of me, and understand I love them. And I won't spank them if I'm very angry, because it tends to be transferred.

I agree...spanking is sometimes necessary, especially if no other form of consequence is working...I was spanked...and I am fine. I agree that my kids will still know that I love them. That is first and foremost.
