Hi all,
I'm new to this section of the forums.. and have a few questions. First, I will give a little background I suppose.
5 years ago my then-boyfriend, now-husband had testicular cancer. After removal of the testicle and months of chemo, he was all better. Fast forward 4 years later, we get married and decide we wanna start a family. I get pregnant the first month off the pill (Jan 2009), and we are both thrilled. Then, in the first few weeks of pregnancy, I miscarry. We are both really upset, but figure we have plenty of time and can try again. A month later, my husband has a routine CT scan and the Dr finds there is an enlarged lymph node in his upper abdomen. My husband needs surgery to remove it as well as many other lymph nodes, just in case. The real kicker here is that the lymph node is close friends with the nerves that control ejaculation, and they may be damaged during the surgery. This would possibly cause retrograde ejaculation. The doctor knew we were TTC, so recommended my husband store some sperm, which he did (3 deposits worth). And although it was a little earlier than my OB/GYN recommended, we TTC during this time as well.
The surgery happened a week ago and turns out he does have retrograde ejaculation.. oh, and my AF came today so no luck on that end.
Has anyone here had success conceiving with retrograde ejaculation? If so, what treatments worked?
I appreciate any info you guys have concerning this condition!
